Group Camp 2022

   |   By  |  0 Comments

Group Camp is over for another year! We hope everyone had a great time last weekend – thank you all for being so good all weekend!

We got lots of badge work done, played with friends, had a campfire, did some singing among lots of other things!

Big thank you to our leadership team who have worked so hard to make this camp happen, both planning and over the weekend!

If you’re interested in getting involved as a leader, feel free to come and talk to one of us! Camps are great fun!

A message of remembrance

As Scouts we are united in sorrow for the loss of our Patron, HM The Queen. She leaves a bright legacy of hope and promise for future generations.

We will remember her, and give thanks for her kindness, her service, and the unwavering support she showed our movement over many decades. She was truly a friend to Scouts everywhere. For seventy years, HM The Queen has stood at our side, encouraging our volunteers and inspiring our young people to learn new skills, help others and shine brightly.

Her sense of duty was an outstanding example to every single Scout.

It will take time for our movement, and our nation to recover from this loss. Let’s take great solace and comfort in her warm heartedness towards young people, her devotion to her duty and most of all her kindness.

In memory of our great Patron, let’s show that same sense of kindness and respect to each other. On behalf of every Scout, we thank HM The Queen for her service. We will never forget her.

To support young people at this time, we would ask that Scouts meetings still continue during the national mourning period, with activities chosen to be respectful and meaningful.

On behalf of every Scout, we thank HM The Queen for her service. We will never forget her.
